Ari Marsh is a writer, musician, poet, educator, surfer, and global explorer, born and raised along the California coast. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from San Diego State University and a Master of Education with an emphasis in Cross-Cultural Teaching from National University. In addition to extensive teaching in a variety of settings, Ari has traveled the globe as a world-adventurer and researcher, having visited some eighteen countries. He has deepened his own spiritual examinations by immersing himself in the sacred places of Mexico, Peru, Israel, India, Japan, Italy, Spain, and Indonesia. Echoes from the Sun: A Modern Quest for the Fountain of Youth is Ari’s first novel and the culmination of more than a decade of research and exploration.
Soul Rider Surfing Poetry
In the 1990s, Ari created Soul Rider Publications and published several volumes of ocean and surfing-based poetry which included the birth of the legendary, underground, mystical surfer known as The Soul Rider. The three original volumes in the Soul Rider Series are: The Soul Rider: A Surfer’s Perspective of the World (1992), The Soul Rider II: Neptune’s Dream (1995), and Sea-Soaked Heart (2004). Soul Rider Music
A singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and world chant artist, Ari created Soul Rider Music, a platform for creating musical events, kirtan concerts, and world chant gatherings. His first CD, "Devotee of Love: Songs & Chants" was recorded and produced in 2009. Ari's music is available for downloads and previews on Amazon, itunes, and CDBaby. He also has an extensive collection of videos available on youtube. His newest musical project, Feed The Fire World Music, recently produced a beautiful single, written by Ari and now available on-line, entitled "Through the Bloodstream."
Ari has also worked with JUICE Magazine to document elements of the surfing and skateboarding world. Explore his interview with legendary Dogtown skateboarder, artist, and innovator, Wes Humpston, which was part of JUICE Magazine's Dogtown Chronicles series. His surf story and article, Tapping into Ophelia: Storm Surfing in North Carolina, documents a historic hurricane swell which produced epic East Coast surf in September 2005.
